Welcome to the Lend-a-Heart Home Page. If you're a Hospice volunteer already, you'll recognize many of the sentiments expressed on this page. You'll be nodding along because, face it, you've been there. I'd love to hear from you. While being a volunteer is extremely rewarding, it's nice to have someone to talk to, someone who knows what's it's like to make a weekly visit. It's easy, however, to overlook the need for that kind of support. That's the reasoning behind this page. I want all of us to have a place to connect. Send me your stories. If you'd like, I'll print them for others to read. Send me links to sites you think are relevant. Send info on your local Hospice. If you aren't yet a volunteer, but have considered becoming one, I hope my story (and those of others) will convince you that the work is worthwhile for both you and the people you visit.
