I fell in love with L.M. Montgomery and her work when I was very young. My mother bought
me the "Emily" books -- Emily of New Moon, Emily Climbs, and Emily's Quest. They were wonderful!

Once I finished up those three, she began to buy me the books in the "Anne" series, eight in
all. I read through the first four books, but being so young I couldn't relate to the more
grown-up Anne of the last few books until recently.

Of course, there is the excellent Kevin Sullivan video set of "Anne" movies -- they bring
Anne and her friends to life in a way I believe "Maud", as L.M. is affectionately known,
would certainly approve!
