Why Ducks?
A duck? People ask me. Why not a dog or a cat or a hamster or goldfish or something? Why do you have a pet duck? Well, I do not know the answer to this question myself, but I do know that it was not I who chose to own a duck. It was the duck that chose to own me. And I am honoured by this choice.
I have learned many things by living with a duck for over two years. In 2 years I have made many important discoveries about ducks in general, and these are:
1. Yes, ducks are cute and cuddly
2. Ducks can be vicious killers, especially when hungry.
3. If given the chance, a duck will readily eat your fingers /toes.
4. According to surveys and tests, 0% of boys and 30% of girls admitted being afraid of ducks, but when put into actual confrontation with one, 63% of boys and 33% of girls either screamed or ran away.
5. Ducks do NOT make good housepets.
6. There exist ducks who do not like water, and will kick, scratch and bite when put into it.
7. Ducks have a special preference for food that they are not supposed to have.
8. Ducks lay eggs.
9. Ducks raised in captivity have a tendency to believe that they are human(or that humans are ducks, who knows how ducks think)
10. Ducks are actually aliens from a distant galaxy who plan to take over the Earth.
