I recently saw the movie "Contact". While I enjoyed the movie very much I was intrigued by a statement that was made on three seperate occasions in the movie. The statement was something to the effect "if we are the only life-forms in the universe it would be a terrible waste of space." I have written an essay in which I try to show from a biblical perspective why this statement is a false one. Keep in mind this is not an attack on the movie "Contact", it is simply an objection to a comment made within the movie. Read the essay and then e-mail me with your thoughts. Look forward to hearing from you.

"Contact" Essay

Here is an essay on Philippians chapter one dealing with the subject of God's providence and human prayer. If God is totally providential then what is the purpose of human prayer? If God is providential then why pray? I wrote this lengthy essay to try to answer that question.

Here is an essay on Romans 3:21-26. This essay is on the Propitiatiation that was Christ's sacrifice for us on the cross. It is a discussion of Christ's work of salvation for us and what occurred on the cross as Christ became the sacrifice to take away the sins of the elect. Read it and understand the tremendous love that God has for you, and the price he paid to bring us back to him.
