If Jesus Came
“If any man hear My voice
and open the door, I will come to him. Revelation 3:20
If Jesus Came To Your House
If Jesus came to your house
for just a day or two,
If He came unexpected, I wonder
what you’d do.
Oh, I know you’d give your
nicest room to such an honored guest,
And all the food you’d serve
Him would be the very best.
And would you keep assuring
Him you were glad to have Him there,
That serving Him in your home
is joy beyond compare.
But when you saw Him coming,
would you meet Him at the door,
With arms outstretched and
welcome to your Heavenly visitor?
Or would you have to change
your clothes before you let Him in,
Or hide some magazines and
put the Bible where they had been.
Would you turn off the radio
and hope He hadn’t heard,
And wish you hadn’t uttered
that last loud hasty word.
Would you hide your worldly
music and put the hymn books out,
Could you let Him walk right
in, or would you rush about?
I wonder if the Saviour spent
a day or two with you,
Would you go right on doing
the things you always do.
Would you go right on saying
the things you always say,
And would life for you continue
as it does from day to day...
Would your family conversation
keep its normal pace,
And would you find it hard
each day to say the family grace.
Would you sing the songs you
always sing and read the books you read,
And let Him know the things
on which your mind and spirit feed.
Would you take Jesus with
you everywhere you plan to go,
Or....maybe would you change
your plans for just a day or so.
Would you be glad to have
Him meet your closest friends,
Or hope that they would stay
away until His visit ends.
Would you be glad to have
Him stay forever on and on,
Or would you sigh with great
relief when He at last was gone.
It might be interesting to
know the thing you would do, if Jesus came in person to spend some time
with you.

“As for me and my house, we
will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15
Open the door to Him and He
will come into your soul. He has been knocking and all with the thought
that He might enter in your heart. Open the door to Him and let Him
in and He will dwell with you forever.
Have you asked Him to become
your Saviour, forgiving your sins? He’s knocking waiting to come
in.
Is That Jesus Knocking?
A nurse in a pediatric ward
often let her young patients listen to their hearts beating. One
day as she carefully positioned the stethoscope for a 4-year old boy, she
said to him, “Listen, what do you suppose that sound is?” He tightened
his eyebrows in deep thought and with a bright smile asked, “Is that Jesus
knocking?”
Christ Knocks on Heart’s Door
In Heaven there’s great rejoicing
For one who turns to God,
Much more than we can fathom,
Who walk the earthly sod.
For it is God’s desire,
That no one should be lost,
And so He sent the Saviour
For sin to pay the cost.
In heaven there’s great rejoicing,
For one who comes to God
Through Jesus Christ, our
Saviour,
Our staff and rod.
Christ knocks upon the heart’s
door,
Awaiting our response;
Let there be joy in Heaven,
Believe in God’s dear Son!

Faith Is The Key To Heaven
Oh, Father, grant once more
to men,
A simple, childlike Faith
again.
Forgetting color, race and
creed
And seeing only the heart’s
deep need...
For Faith alone can save man’s
soul
And lead him to a higher goal.
For there’s but one unfailing
course–
We win by Faith and not by
force.
