We bought our first Cocker in 1977, named
Dolly, "Doromay Rag Doll". She was red and white, taught us a lot, and gave us a lot of fun - but didn't like the show ring. She also gave us our love for the breed.
We show sparingly. We've titled Ch. Ezetera Sunbonnet,
and we also had her brother Ezetera Midnight Sun, who died of cancer before he was two years old.
We had a daughter of his, Ch. Azel Heat Of The Night,
and had a son of hers, Ch. Roanbrae Flipside, who is a Best in Show and Group Winner.!

We imported a bitch from New Zealand, Taramain Truly Triffic - another one who didn't like the showring! She was mated to Ch. Kamps Kruise Kontrol (Imp USA). We kept a red and white dog, Ch. Roanbrae Touch O Class. Melanie Buckley, my granddaughter, took the black and white dog, Ch. Roanbrae Double Take, who went on to become a multiple Best in Show winner.
Melanie now has her own Kennel prefix, Descartes, and has bred her first litter from Ch. Roanbrae Double Take and Ch. Scotsdream Strike a Pose.
We have kept two black and white males from this litter. Melanie is successfully campaigning "Buzz" Ch. Descartes Chuck A Parti, and I have his litter brother "Chip" Ch. Descartes Take Two.
We have a lovely bitch from Merriyank Kennels, Ch. Merriyank Maid To Order. She had a litter to Ch. Roanbrae Touch O Class, and Poppy now has her first Ch Roanbrae Gold Impact owned by Kym Staggs ACT also his litter brother Ch Roanbrae Black Bandit
we are also thrilled to announce her third Champion.Ch Descartes Double Deal sired by Ch Merriyank Dare You To Try (AI)
We invite you to browse through our site and view the photos of our lovely Cockers. |
