Lynn aka Angel and Roger aka Roadkill1. |
This is an online diary of my time spent in Washington State with Roger in July/August 1999. We spent alot of time fishing for King Salmon while I was there. Roger being a real fishaholic, as well as an accomplished salmon and steelhead fisherman was a very patient teacher, and me, the perfect student LOL Before long, I had *jigging* down to an art! But still didn't catch any fish longer than 6 inches LOL It was still alot of fun though. |
We also attempted to climb Mt Si. Roger did just fine, but I wasn't quite recovered from respiratory infections, that I had had for 7 weeks prior to my visit, so I got pooped real easy! (don't tell Roger, but really I was just totally unfit *wink* ) But it was a great achiement for me to reach 2000 feet up :o) |
Mt Rainier was one of the most beautiful sights I saw during my stay. Although we were in very high temperatures, there was still plenty of beautiful white snow all over, with rivers of what looked like chocolate milk flowing from the mountain. This is for those of you who want to see me and the State Troopers. |

In December 1999, Roger visited me here in New Zealand. We had a wonderful time together *smiles* This gave Roger the opportunity to meet my sons and get to know them. They think the world of Roger, and are looking forward to the big move to the USA and to him becoming their step dad, and to also having a new brother and sister . We all went fishing alot down at Port Charmers, Harrington Point here in Dunedin. There weren't alot of salmon around at that time, however, the Barracudas were out in full force!
