Kids Pictures 1

Home Page

I've changed the background on this because a grandparent complained about the amount of ink the other consumed in printing out the images.

These pictures are a bunch that we had left over from a number of old events.

BAnnaMarieAvery.jpg (45672 bytes) This is from Thanksgiving 1998, our first with friends from California.  At left are the kids, all only children and therefore misfit and maladjusted.  Can't you tell.  At left in the furs in Avery, daughter of good friends Marna and Ed.  Above Benjamin is Anna Marie Harrison, daughter of good friends William and Tina Harrison of Irvine.
This is Avery and Benjamin after a hike in the wilderness along the Skyline Drive up near San Francisco.  This was taken in October 1999, I think. BAveryWaifs.jpg (30286 bytes)
BDadGoldGate.jpg (30733 bytes) In the Fall of last year (1999) we went to Alcatraz.  Benjamin really loved the self-paced tour, so here he is outfitted with headphones.  Golden Gate is in the background.  We really love visiting San Francisco.  It's my favorite city in all the world.  Such a dramatic setting and so much stuff there.
At right are pictures we took on top of Cerro Alto, a coastal mountain about 20 miles north of Oceano.  It was Benjamin's first big hike.   He went about 5 miles, straight up and down.  We are trying to hike regularly now, something we haven't done for any distance since he was born.  He complains a lot sometimes, but we both refuse to carry him. BSlide.jpg (20773 bytes) At the end of the summer in Morro Bay there is a festival.  We went and let Benjamin ride down a slide over and over.
Thanksgiving 1999 we had wonderful weather, unlike last year.  So the day after Thanksgiving, we climbed up Bishop's Peak, a dormant volcano just north of San Luis Obispo.  Here's a shot from up top.  Avery and Anna Marie were speed demons going up.  We had to go searching for them, they got to the top so fast.  Enroute down, Benjamin was begging me to carry him.  I kept refusing.   "I'll pay you," he offered.  I reminded him he didn't have any money.  "I'll pay you with your money."
