Early in the new year we went to the butterfly grove up in Pismo Beach (2 miles north of Oceano) to see the butterfly migration here.  They come from the Northwest, Canada, and Alaska to winter, breed, and die here.  We heard that a California-based celebrity would be there filming his show, "California's Gold".  We all like this show a lot.  It's a travelogue of California.   Benjamin really likes Hewell Howser, the host.  So we were able to rub elbows with him, a treat for us all.
