Exploring the Third Dimension

In December 2003 I started flight lessons.  I'd flown for a year with my friend Jonathan Pitt as copilot, thinking about lessons.  So between December and June I trained and got my private pilot license in June 2004.  It's been a real adventure so far.  I've bought into two airplane partnerships, both putt-putt planes.  One is a 1969 Cessna 150, the other a 1946 Aeronca Champ.  Also, I started glider training last summer over in Avenal, California.

At Independence, California.  I went and picked up a friend who left a car there.  We flew across the Sierras together in this little putt-putt plane.

The Aeronca on its native surface, dirt, in Avenal California.  I can't wait to stop beside some distressed motorist on the highway and render aid.
