Scott'sPage
December 26, 1999 Dear friend, Thank you for visiting the former site of Scott's page. As I believe it is more appropriate to remember my husband for all of the accomplishments he achieved during his entire lifetime, and not just for his illness, I have chosen to take this page down. I am not exactly sure how I will use this web site, many people are used to visiting here and I do not want them to find an unfriendly "page not found." I think that the best way to use this page will become clearer to me in the future. When Scott was ill, he told me that he wanted to find a way to help sick children to feel better and to cheer their spirits. In light of this request I am providing some information on Camelot for Children, an organization right here in the Lehigh Valley which serves the needs of children with serious, chronic, and terminal illnesses or disabilities and their families. Camelot House is a warm, loving environment where these children can gather to meet and play with other children with similar needs and not feel self-consciousness or fear. It is a gathering place with a playground, and playroom, a craft room, kitchen and dining areas, lounges and meeting rooms. It is open daily for families and can also be reserved for children's birthday parties, picnics, and other special occasions. Support groups meet here regularly to share camaraderie and understanding. Respite care is available for parents to leave their children in the care of a fully qualified nurse and take time to attend appointments. Camelot House is also an education center where seminars and programs are held to provide information to the community. Camelot House has a summer camp program where children can experience outdoor activities that provide friendly interaction. Camelot for Children accepts donations of goods and services. Their address is : Camelot for Children (610) 791-5683
Thank you again for visiting Scott's Page. Please check back in the future for changes to this page.
