Barb et al,
For your information, the EVAS system was certified by the FAA and to prove
the system works under the most difficult conditions, a FAA pilot flew a 737
at NIGHT TIME and the system worked just fine. There can be NO EXCUSE for the
FAA, NOT TO MANDATE THAT ALL COMMERCIAL AIRPLANES SHOULD BE EQUIPPED WITH THE EVAS SYSTEM.
Even, if the airlines would have to increase the price of a ticket, Bert
Werjefelt has figured out that an increase of 1 cent per ticket would pay for
the cost of implementing the cockpit and 5 cents per ticket would pay for the
installation for ALL PASSENGERS. The passengers have NO PROTECTION NOW FOR
TOXIC SMOKE. Those little yellow masks that drop down are ONLY FOR OXYGEN AT
HIGHER ALTITUDES until the airplane descends down to 10,000 feet or less. You
have NO PROTECTION FROM TOXIC SMOKE.
You would think that, as our ADVOCATE for AIR SAFETY, the FAA should mandate the EVAS
SYSTEM
for ALL passenger-carrying airplanes. I saw a video clip of the president's committee on
Air Safety and Security, where Al Gore LIED through his teeth, when he said that the EVAS
system didn't work. How come it was certified by the FAA, and an airplane flown by a FAA
pilot, under worse type conditions (at night) and it doesn't work?? Give us a break Al
Gore!
When you hear statements made like that, by so-called responsible officials,
you can SEE WHAT WE ARE FACING IN GETTING SOME MAJOR CHANGES MADE by the FAA.
You have to SWING A MIGHTY BIG KNIFE TO CUT THROUGH THAT DEGREE OF CORRUPTION
and LIES. If anyone has any questions, just ask Bert how much time and money
he has spent trying to get the FAA to MANDATE INSTALLING HIS EVAS SYSTEM IN
ALL COMMERCIAL AIRPLANES. Ask John Berlin, CEO of Tensolite,
how much time
and money has been spent on trying to get the FAA to call for mandatory use of
TKT WIRING (the only SAFE A/C WIRE that can meet the requirements of FAR 25)
on all new jets- to no avail.
Bottom line, if Swissair 111 had have had the EVAS SYSTEM in the cockpit,
right now your loved ones would still be alive PERIOD. GREED, GREED and more
GREED is all these government and air line officials understand. You can't
prevent all types of accidents from occurring, but you can damn sure prevent a
lot of them that concern A/C wiring and SMOKE PROTECTION.
