Brian's Abode

Hi, My name is Brian a.k.a. Afalina! A bit about myself...I have interests in dolphins, animation, travel (particularly outdoor stuff), technology, and government.

Career-wise, I was in the U.S. Navy for 6 years...I served as a nuclear-trained propulsion mechanic aboard the USS William H. Bates, a fast-attack submarine stationed out of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Upon leaving, I took a research-consulting position at Berkshire Labs, a technology development lab in Columbus, Ohio. Destiny struck, and I was pursuaded to pursue the creation of an ambitious animation training program known as Ohiomation's Animation Through Ohio Schools Program. I have also had the priviledge of working with my dad at KiON Corporation as Production Manager in Columbus, Ohio. I have had the opportunity to have my own business carving stuff on my cnc router, a Shopbot. Click here to see some of my work. I was also a Volunteer Firefighter at the Reedsport Volunteer Fire Department while living in Reedsport and Winchester Bay, Oregon. I worked for Southern Company at Stanton Power Plant in Orlando, Florida. Then I was contracted out to Saxon in Orlando, Florida. I worked for http://www.rinker.com/">Rinker Materials in Fort Myers, Florida as Foreman for a cement block plant. I am currently at Intel Corporation in Hillsboro, Oregon doing chip manufacturing and pursuing electrical engineering. I am also gearing up to buy a duplicator and start my wood shop up again.

Future career pursuits may include the study of dolphin communication modes and techniques, as well as perhaps the U.S. presidency.
