Hello and welcome to Matthew's Heart Page.  Matthew was born on September 17, 1999.  Ten days later we discovered that he had a very serious congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). The purpose of this page is to celebrate Matthew's life and to tell his story to give other parents who face this condition hope.  

We have found a lot of useful information about HLHS along with a tremendous support group on the internet.  Without this internet connection, facing this road in life would be much more difficult. We will list some of our favorite and most helpful sites that we have found.
