TTHE JUDKINS FAMILY ASSOCIATION
This is the home page of the Judkins Family Association. All descendants of Job Judkins of Boston, Massachusetts,Samuel Judkins of Surry County, Virginia and all persons of the Judkins sur-name and any other interested people, are invited to contact the JUDKINS FAMILY ASSOCIATION if you need help in filling in your Judkins line. JFA is the largest repository of collected Judkins families in the United States.
The JUDKINS FAMILY ASSOCIATION was formed in 1985. One of the goals of the organization was to unite present day Judkins families and to introduce them to the lives and histories of their forefathers. Another of our goals was to acquire information on all Judkins, for inclusion in our archives, so as to publish a genealogy on the JUDKINS IN AMERICA. The time has now come that we have accumulated a lot of info on the Judkins in America and because of not getting help with the running of the organization, I have decided to no longer publish the JUDKINS JOURNAL, nor have memberships and I will begin the task of compiling genealogies for the New England line of Judkins.
I am available to help you with your New England line and furnish you with your direct line family group charts if they are available, for twenty dollars. If you wish to take advantage of this service, please contact Kathi Judkins Abendroth. There's one small "hitch", you MUST send me family group charts, not descent charts, on your Judkins line, from yourself on back to as far as you can go, when you send for your family charts from JFA. In case you may have a special consideration within your line, contact me and we'll discuss it. All are invited to submit their Judkins information to our organization. Publication day is still a long way off and it's possible your info will not only help you in your quest but someone else too.
A genealogy was written in 1962 about some of the New England Judkins lines by Elizabeth Littlefield Judkins. Errors in the work have been few except in one line she wrote about. This is the line of John Judkins and Esther Swett. She erroneously included the sons John who married Abigail Swazey and Samuel who married Mary Cushing. She mistook an Ann for a son Amos. JFA has previously published in their "Judkins Journal" an article on John Judkins of Wolfborough, New Hampshire, and Samuel of Effingham/Fremont, New Hampshire proving that their descent was not from John & Esther (Swett) Judkins.
Did your Judkins serve for the North in the Civil War? Here is an Index of the Judkins Northern Civil War pensions.
Did your Judkins serve in the War of the Rebellion? Here is an Index of Compiled Service Records of Judkins Confederate Soldiers-Civil War. Both of these lists were originally published in our quarterly "The Judkins Journal".
