2. MAURICE WALSH was born April 1824 in Cork, Ireland, and
died 1917. He married BRIDGET REEN February 27, 1862 in Rathmore,
Withnohaval And Kilcummin, Kerry, Ireland in 1862. She was born March 10 1831 in Cork, Ireland, d. Feb 18, 1926 (DC on file)in Egan, MN. Maurice came to America in 1848 during the "Great Ireland Potato Famine".

3. THOMAS WALSH(MAURICE) was born April 1866 in Dakota County,
MN and died January 31, 1904 in West Saint Paul, Dakota County, MN. He married
Margaret McCarthy, daughter of Edward_ McCarthy and Catherine Hyland.
Margaret was born April 1866, and died 1939.

4. MAURICE WALSH was born January 1866 in Minnesota, and died
June 24, 1907 in Oelwin, IA from foundry accident. He married
CATHERINE MCCARTHY, daughter of Edward McCarthy and Catherine Hyland
at St. Michael's Church in West St. Paul in 1891. Catherine was born
June 1867 in Minnesota, and died May 06, 1904 in Oelwin, IA. In 1900
they lived at 129 W Congress. Maurice's funeral Service was June 27, 1907
at St. Peter's Church, Mendota, MN. In 1901 Maurice worked at S Pk F &
N Co. (molder).

12. OLIVE C WALSH (MAURICE, MAURICE) was born October 6, 1892
in Minnesota, and died July 1969. She married NEWTON W TOLAND. He
was born Abt. 1888 in Illinois. Olive was the only child not put into orphanage
about 1906 when the children's mother died. She is buried in St. Peters Cemetary,
Mendota - Section 3100. They lived at 148 Walnut in 1920. Newton was Express
Mgr. at Express Co in 1920.

In 1920 Mabel was a cashier at a theatre and lived at 148 Walnut/325 Walnut
in 1920. Both Mabel and Bill worked at St. Thomas Academy for many
years and lived on West 7th St. in St. Paul.

16. MAURICE EDWARD WALSH (MAURICE, MAURICE) was born March 12, 1899 in Minnesota, and died January 17, 1977 in San Francisco, CA. He married PEARL MANDEVILLE, daughter of Richard Skylar Mandeville and Katherine Hitchcock. She was born November 04, 1900 in Rib Lake, WI. Maurice worked as a bellman at St. Paul Hotel in 1920. He then worked for 42 years at Minnesota Transfer Railroad. He was in an orphanage with all his brothers and sisters except Ollie when mother and then father died. Maurice and Pearl lived at 309 S. Exchange in 1920. Pearl's stepfather was Charles Glicher.

18.THOMAS WALSH, b. Abt. 1901. In 1920 his occupation call boy at Railroad Co., and his residence was 148 Walnut.

19. ARTHUR MORAN (Walsh), b. December 13, 1903; d. April 20,
1925, Centerville, MN in Car Accident. Arthur died in an automobile accident
with his older brother Joseph. Arty was adopted by his mother's sister Ellen
and husband Judge Michael J.Moran after the children parents both died. Arthur's
Funeral Service was held April 22, 1925 at St. Michael's Catholic Church.

GENERATION NO. 5
20.RICHARD JOSEPH WALSH(MAURICE EDWARD, MAURICE, MAURICE) married HELEN GENEVIEVE AUSLAND, daughter of Helmer Ausland and Esther (Soderholm) of Hoffman, MN, b. Sept. 28, 1919, d. Sept. 24, 1982 Richard was in the 119th Infantry during WWII. As US soldier in Switzerland Dick was given leave from Leave Center to Basle, Switzerland on July 28, 1945.
This appeared in Military Paper:
Dick Walsh, middleweight from Camp Haan, put Ray Ashmore for Moapa, on the
elevator and had him running from the basement up and down all during the
evening. Walsh was just too potent for Ashmore, who put up a good battle,
but was unable to remain verticle.
