It came as a thought in the sleepless night,
A thought as a wraith in the waning light.
"Success and fulfillment can come to you,
But you must have a goal, a dream to pursue.

"You can light a brilliant flame,
You can have both wealth and fame,
But you must be committed and strong,
For the road ahead is rocky and long."

Spoke the wraith, "I have a few rules
That you must follow and use as tools:
To achieve success and the goal you set,
Delimitate your goal--and don't forget:

"Time and again you will get knocked down;
Get back up with a grin--don't frown.
Keep your eye on the goal and don't look back;
Stay the course--and stay on track.

"Reaching a star takes courage and grit;
Follow that dream; don't falter, don't quit!"
