Lightening flashes,
reflected in your eyes.
The electricity
in the air

is not caused by the weather.
Hair,
stands on end
as you move
closer.
Passion rises,
as does the storm.
Which is louder,
the thunder,
or my pounding heart?
The wind that blows,
with fury,
nature's force
cannot match
the desire
that will not
be
denied.
Storm passes.
Thunder fades.
Skies clear.
The quiet calm
a warm embrace
love, at last
can rest
in secure arms.
