Community Overview
Steger is a southeast suburb about 35 miles southeast of downtown Chicago. Recreational opportunities include programs at the community center. Grade school-aged children attend district 194 schools, while secondary students go to Bloom Township High School, district 206. (See below for details on schools).
Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-394/Calumet Expwy.), and major local roads (Torrence Ave., Lincoln Hwy.).
