St. Charles Community Guide

Community Overview

St. Charles is a village of about 23,000 40 miles west of downtown Chicago. Lying along the Fox River, St. Charles offers a variety of recreational opportunities and maintains an active Park District program. Schoolchildren can attend the public schools (Unit District 303 schools, K-12th. Grades), or a private school in the area. *See below for details on schools.

Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-90, Northwest Tollway; I-88, East-West Tollway),and major local roads (Rt. 59-Randall Rd.). Commuter service to downtown is provided by Metra at the Geneva station. Travel time to the downtown Chicago station is about 60 minutes. Local bus service is available from PACE.
