Community Overview
North Aurora is a town of about 6500 40 miles west of downtown Chicago. Recreational opportunities include the activities held at the local activity center, and the Fox Valley Park District programs. School children attend schools in West Aurora school district 129. *See below for details on schools.
Transportation needs are served by area highways ((Eisenhower Expwy. - I-290, Tri-State (I-294), North/South Tollway (I-355), East-West Tollway (I-88)) and major local roads (Rte. 38 - Roosevelt Rd., Routes 64, 56, 53, and 59). Commuter service to downtown is provided by Metra at the Aurora station on the Burlington Northern (BN) line. Travel time to the downtown Chicago station is about 40 minutes.
