LaGrange Community Guide

Community Overview

LaGrange is a village of about 15,300 14 miles west of downtown Chicago. While primarily residential it has a large shopping district. Recreational opportunities include the Park District's programs. Grade-school-aged children attend schools in districts 95, 102, 105 (so.), 106 and 107. Secondary students go to Lyons Township High Schools, district 204 or to Riverside-Brookfield High School, district 208. (See below for details on schools).

Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-55/Stevenson Expwy., I-290/Eisenhower Expwy.), and major local roads (Mannheim Rd., Ogden Ave.). Commuter service to downtown is provided by the Burlington Northern Line (BN). Travel time to the downtown Chicago station is about 22 minutes. Local bus service is available from PACE.
