Indian Head Park Community Guide

Community Overview

Indian Head Park is a village of about 3,500 18 miles west of downtown Chicago. The town is exclusively residential except for two small shopping areas. Recreational opportunities include Pleasantdale Park District's programs. Grade-school-aged children attend districts 106 and 107 schools. Secondary students go to Lyons Township High Schools, district 204. (See below for details on schools).

Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-55/Stevenson Expwy., I-294/Tristate Tollway), and major local roads (Mannheim Rd., Ogden Ave.). Commuter service to downtown is provided by the Burlington Northern Line (BN) in Western Springs. Travel time to the downtown Chicago station is about 22 minutes.
