Hickory Hills is a village of about 13,000 19 miles southwest of downtown Chicago. Recreational Opportunities include the programs of the Park District, with emphasis on youth and senior citizen programming. Most grade school children attend district 117, the remainder go to district 109 schools. Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-294/Tri-State Tollway, I-55/Stevenson Expwy.), and major local roads (Harlem Ave., 95th. St., Rt. 45., 79th. St.).
