Community Overview

Country Club Hills is a village of about 15,500 22 miles south of downtown Chicago. Recreational opportunities include a bike trail, and the programs of the Park District (including a golf center). Grade school-aged children attend school in districts 144 and 160, while secondary students are served by districts 227 or 228. (See below for details on schools).

Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-294/Tri-State Tollway, I-80, I-57), and major local roads (Cicero Ave.). Commuter service to downtown is provided by Metra in Hazel Crest and Homewood. Travel time to the downtown Chicago station is about 40 minutes (express). Local bus service is available from PACE.
