Burr Ridge Community Guide

Community Overview

Burr Ridge is a town of about 8,000 23 miles southwest of downtown Chicago. The town has an abundance of wildlife (particularly birds, deer and foxes), and wetlands alternate with upscale housing developments. Grade school-aged children attend schools in districts 62, 102, 107, 180 and 181, and secondary students go to Hinsdale Central in district 86. (See below for details on schools).

Transportation needs are served by area highways ((Tri-State (I-294), Stevenson Epwy. (I-55)) and major local roads (County Line Rd., 55th. St., Rte. 83). Commuter service to downtown is provided by Metra at the Hinsdale station on the Burlington Northern (BN) line or the Willow Springs Station on the Heritage Corridor (HC) line.
