Community Overview
Burbank is a village of about 27,600 15 miles southwest of downtown Chicago. Burbank has a mix of commercial, and residential development. Recreational Opportunities include the programs of the Park District. South Stickney Township Health Center (5635 State Rd., 708-424-9200) offers public health and medical services for all ages (M-F 9 AM-4 PM). Grade school children attend district 111, and go on to Reavis High School, district 220.Three parochial schools are located in Burbank (one elementary, two secondary). *See below for details on schools.
Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-294/Tri-State Tollway, I-94/Dan Ryan Expwy., I-57), and major local roads (Cicero Ave., 79th. St., 87th. St., Central Ave., Narragansett Ave.). Commuter service to downtown is provided by Metra's Norfolk & Western Line and by Amtrak in nearby Summit. Travel time to the downtown Chicago station is about 35 minutes.
