Looking for ancestors of John Fielden Strang born aboard the ship John Fielden on route from Liverpool to USA. Birth registered in Charleston, South Carolina 8 May 1848. Married Helen Margaret Carlow in St. Andrews, New Brunswick on 23 Aug 1872. They had 2 children in NB (1873 & 1875) Removed to Vancouver, BC by May 1880 and to New Westminster, BC by Feb. 1884. Children: Amanda Gertrude, James Nelson, James Fielden, Claude Melvin, Wesley Sylvester, Alice Helen Verbina. Amanda Gertrude Strang was my grt grt grandmother. Looking for any information on Lionel Strong, b. abt 1813, England, d. 04 Feb 1859 Paspébiac, Gaspé, QC, Canada Married Mary Ann Swain, b. abt. 1816. Children: Eliza, b. abt 1838, Lionel, b. abt 1839, William, b. abt. 1849, and Francis, b. abt. 1850. Lionel came to the Gaspé from Jersey, Channel Islands to work for the Charles Robin Company. Researching the ancestry of George Strong, who died ~1839 in County Fermanagh, possibly in Edenagor Townland, Beleek Parish. Believed to be descended from extensive line of Strongs in Co. Donegal, Ireland. Wife Mary Harron Strong emigrated to Pickering Township, Ontario ~1842 with one son, also known as George Strong (b.~1825, Co. Fermanagh, d.
