The 1942 Arlington Senior High School played in the State Finals against Turners Falls. Going into the last inning, Arlington was ahead but Turners Falls won the game for the State title, 5 - 4. The game was played at either Fenway Park or Braves Field.
The picture has been donated to the Arlington High School Alumni Association by Joe Looney who graduated from AHS. Joe was a sports writer for the Boston Herald for many years. He helped the Chronicle get a picture taken of the team. A thank you note written by Chronicle assistant editor, Jack Medzorian, accompanied the picture.
