We first saw Pwasht on Nov 20/99 in a pet store. We were playing and holding the chinchillas and noticed that this particular one was losing his fur, very thin, uncoordinated, weak, and he had been picked on by the others cause he had a lot of bite wounds on him, especially on his ears. We were quite upset and sad when we checked him out and decided that if he were to stay there he would probably die. We took him home with us. He was very shy and slept a lot when we first got him, but then he started eating and drinking a lot. He is a very curious little guy. He loves his run every night and is quite a hyper little guy. We were hoping that Kobat and Pwasht would become friends but it won't happen. It looks like we will have to keep them in seperate cages for always. Pwasht's favorite treats are shreddies and raisins and he gets one of each every night. He also loves to eat and chew on alfalfa blocks & Timothy hay. I am very happy that Pwasht got better. He is almost 5 years old now.
