The PSD is what got me into shepherds in the first place. He is long since retired and gone to the rainbow bridge after a successful career and a long happy retirement (the dog!). I am active in breeding and showing my GSD's but the influence of having uch a wonderful representative of the German Shepherd Dog, in my opinion he was the epitome of character and nobility, keeps me on the straight and narrow when considering temperament in my breeding program. I will strive to maintain his memory in my sho dogs. Nice page, I'll be back.

I enjoyed your web page. I am currently a Lieutenant / K-9 Handler, and my partner is a much spoiled, three year old German Sheperd imported from Hungary. He is a certified Dual - Purpose dog, being dual trained in the areas of Narcotics Detection and P trol (Tracking, Article Searches, Building Searches, Criminal Apprehension, and Handler Protection). If you give me an address, I would be happy to send you a couple of these trading cards that my dept. had made to give to the kids when we do demos in s hools. Don't worry, I've got two thousand of them, so the kids will have plenty. Keep up the good work!...

I have retired from the Michigan State Police after 26 years of service. In 1967 I entered the MSP k-9 corp. My dogs name was KIM. He was one of the first narc dogs in Michigan. I obtained the first narcotics search warrant in Michigan using the dog as th affiant. KIM received the "Lassie Gold Award". This award was presented to dogs who were credited with saving the life of a human. Making the point that dogs were really mans best friend. At that time the award was sponsored by the Campbell Soup Co. who lso sponsored the Lassie program on television. The dogs that are working today are much better trained dogs than the dogs of my generation. We were still trying to figure out what they could really do. You people have built on what we started and I am sure that the next generation of handlers will bui d on what you do to make a better team. Stay safe. S2
