What Must I DO To Be Saved?
This is an often-misunderstood subject. The fact is that God loves us very much and desires a personal relationship with each of us. We are each one special in His eyes. He even knows how many hairs are on your head. Also He has
provided a way for that relationship and that is through His Son Jesus, The Christ. (John 3:16 NIV) "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Also Jesus is the ONLY way to have that relationship with the Father. (John 14:6 NIV) Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you don't come through Jesus you won't come at all.People seem to go to extremes on this. I have met some that told me they thought that they would go to heaven because they laughed a lot. Others thought they couldn't go to heaven because they had committed adultery or some other "bad" sin. The fact is they are both wrong, this has nothing to do with salvation! You can be the funniest person on earth, don't smoke, don't chew and don't run with those who do but if you reject the son of God you will bust hell wide open. In fact, you may be the nicest person there! On the other hand, you could have lived an awful life and broken commandment after commandment and accept Jesus as your Lord and be saved. The thief on the cross was a good example of Grace. In Gods eyes sin is sin, no matter how trivial. And one sin is the same as another, all bad. And we are ALL sinners. (Rom 3:23 NIV
) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, That means all of us. Say that you go to a drink machine and the drinks are fifty cents, you can't buy it with forty-nine cent, you have got to have it all. We are all short on change, Jesus has made up for what we didn't have, a perfect, sinless life. (1 John 1:8-9 NIV) If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. {9} If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.Even though God has made a way for us to fellowship with Him we must accept His sacrifice. Even though He loves us and doesn't want anyone to perish we must make the choice. He will permit you to accept Jesus and have eternal life and He will also permit you to reject Him and burn in hell. You must confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior WITH your mouth. (Rom 10:9-10 NIV
) That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. {10} For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. This is a simple thing to do. For if you are here and read this far The Father is drawing you to Himself for (John 6:44 NIV) "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.So if you are serious about being saved here is how, pray this and mean it: Heavenly
Father, I realize that I am a sinner and need your salvation. I ask you to forgive me of my sins and to cleanse me of all uncleanness. Jesus come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank you Father for saving me. If you pray this and mean it you are saved! It doesn't matter how you feel for salvation is not based on feelings but on faith. Now if you will commit to reading your bible every day and praying, God will reveal Himself to you through His Word and you will grow closer and closer to Him.
