HAMLET Myra E., was born on December 16, 1892 in Mountain Home,
Arkansas to Jesse Frnaklin and Sarah Horner. She moved to Oklahoma
from Arkansas in a covered wagon in 1921, then moved to Luther,
Ok., where she lived until six years ago, moving to Edmond, Ok.
She was a homemaker, a member of the First Methodist Church in
Luther, Ok., Farm Women's Club, Past Worthy Matron of Eastern
Star Lodge 276.
Mrs. Hamlet passed away on March 15, 1992 in Edmond, Ok. She is survived by two sons, Ward Hamlet of Oklahoma City, Ok. and J.L. Hamlet of Irving, Texas; a daughter, Kathryn Huntington of Luther, Ok.; nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Hamlet, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the First Methodist Church, Luther, Ok. Burial will be in the Luther Cemetery.

FARM HOUSE BURNED
The tenant house on the KUYKENDAL place, owned by Mrs. Blanche
McNEAL, was completely destroyed by fire Sunday, supposed to have
caught by a defective flue. The house was occupied by Arthur HAMLET
and family. The household goods, with the exception of bed clothes,
which were upstairs, were saved. Mr. HAMLET expected to move on
Monday to the HAVLUJ place.

Alma May Sasser b. March 17, 1903 married George Neal Horner
in Oklahoma City OK. Neal was from in Marion Co., AR.. His
cousins, the Hamlet's were living in the Luther area.
Neal's sister Myra, married W. Arthur Hamlet. W. Arthur Hamlet was a son of Mary Catherine McCarty Hamlet and George Hamlet. Mary Catherine McCarty Hamlet was Sarah Lela McCarty Sasser's sister. Sarah Lela McCarty Sasser's nephew, Oren C. Hamlet and W. Arthur Hamlet lived in the Luther area and are buried at Luther cemetery. Sarah Lela McCarty Sasser had a niece named Catherine "Gertrude" McCarty. Louise McCarty, attended school in Luther. Her father was John Gerty McCarty, Sarah Lela McCarty Sasser's brother. Most of the rest of the McCarty's remained in Marion CO. AR.
Neal's father was Jesse Franklin Horner. The Horner's lived
in near the Sasser's in Marion Co. AR.
Alma married Neal Horner in Oklahoma County. They spent a few
years of their early married life in Oklahoma. They had one son,
Jessie Horner. Neal tried his luck at farming in Oklahoma. But
after a few years he moved to Edinburg, Hidalgo, County Texas
to join his brother James William Horner and cousin Jack Horner.
Jesse Franklin Horner's first wife Sarah Alice Cantrell died
and he married Isophena Morrow. Isophena Morrow was Mary Ellen
Sasser's sister-in-law.
Neal's step mother ( Isophena Morrow Horner) is buried at Hillcrest Cemetery, Hidalgo County, Texas.
Alma worked for T.L. Greever in Edinburg, it was through her Ola met Lloyd Greever.
December, 1944 they moved to 816 S. 9th St, Edinburg, Texas
They lived here until after Neal's death when Alma moved to Houston
to live with Jesse.
One of their many business ventures, one was they owned a commercial
laundry business that covered most of the Rio Grand Valley area.

ALMA SASSER HORNER
EDINBURG - Alma Sasser Horner died Monday afternoon at Memorial
Southwest Hospital Houston, at the age of 80.
She is survived by a son, Jesse Franklin Horner of Houston; two
grandchildren; a brother , Albert Sasser of Oklahoma City OK.;
two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Crabb, and Mrs Ethel Swails both of
Oklahoma City.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Edinburg.
Funeral Services will be conducted 10.a.m. Friday at First Baptist
Church of Edinburg. The Rev. John Ferguson will officiate. Burial
will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery.

She was a member of the Lemon Grove First Methodist Church
