Remember, there were any number of Cobb brothers or nieces who married Sasser sisters or uncles, thus, some of us are "double cousins!" And then there's the Attaway "connection," where four Attaway siblings married four Sasser siblings! Plus there's the fact that through the 1800s and early 1900s, it was very common for cousins to marry cousins.
