            MARVIN KING, was born 12 January 1909 and died 17 November 1952 and is buried in the McKinght Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas.  He married Opel _________.

 

            LUTHER M. KING, was born 16 April 1881 and died 31 March 1942 and is buried in the McKnight Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

 

            JOHN HOMER KING, born 14 December 1905 and died 25 November 1973; buried Fairview Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

 

            WILLIAM L. KING, born 30 November 1907 died 17 June 1972; Mst. Sgt. U.S. Air Force, World War II, Korea; buried Fairview Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

 

            JEWEL KING, born 9 November 1909 died 4 August 1935; buried Fairview Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

 

            GLENDEN KING, born 12 May 1932 died 15 May 1933; buried Fairview Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

 

            INFANT DAUGHTERS OF MR. & MRS. Q. F. KING, died 9 October 1926; buried in the Fairview Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

 

            AMOS N. KING, Entrance Certificate dated 1835.  He is listed in the Board of Land Commissioners Minutes of Nacogdoches County, Texas in 1838.  He had an Unfinished Title and had emigrated to Texas in 1830 as a single man and a native of the U.S.A.

 

            C. F. KING, listed on the 1846 Poll Lists of Nacogdoches County, Texas.

 

            EDLEY KING, listed in the 1847 Census and in the 1849 Tax Lists of Nacogdoches County, Texas.

 

            EDWARD KING, Entrance Certificate dated 1835.  It stated he was married with a family.

 

            GRAY B. KING, listed in the 1846 Poll List of Henderson County, Texas.  He has deed dated 26 September 1835.  He is said to have had unfinished business in Vehlein's Colony as of 7 October 1835; and that he was a native of the U.S.A with a wife and three children.

 

            JOHATHAN KING, had Charter Certificate in 1835; and, was married with a family.

 

            JOSEPH KING, is found on the 1846 Poll Lists and the 1847 Census of Nacogdoches County, Texas.

 

            JOSIAH KING, said to have had unfinished business in Burnet's Colony as of the 22 August 1835.  He was a native of the U.S.A. with a wife and children.

 

            L.B. KING, listed in the 1847 Census of Nacogdoches County, Texas; and, is also listed on the 1849 Tax list of the same County.

 

            WILLIAM P. KING, has deed dated 28 September 1840.

 

            A. KING, listed on the 1870 Muster Roll of Nacogdoches County, Texas as aged 18 years and 11 months.

            EDMOND KING, was born ca. 1861 and married Anna ______.  He is found in the 1880 Census of Nacogdoches County, Texas.

            MELISSA ANN KING, was born 14 July 1884, and died 21 December 1952.  She is buried in the Holly Grove Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

 

            She married Anderson "Andy" Jackson Jordan, son of Rebecca J. Parmley and Andrew Jackson Jordan.  He was born 25 February 1876 in Nacogdoches County, Texas; and, he died 23 February 1955.  He is buried in the Holly Grove Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

            FORREST ELAM KING, was born 1889 and died 9 February 1910 in Nacogdoches County, Texas.  He is buried in the Douglass Cemetery in Douglass, Nacogdoches County, Texas.

            Forrest married Mattie Florence Davis, daughter of Mary Catherine Rogers and James Duncan Davis.  Mattie was born 12 December 1888 and died 22 February 1962 and is buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Nacogdoches, Texas.

            Mattie married 2nd. Dr. George Perry Campbell, son of Virginia "Jennie Perry and William Jefferson Campbell.  He was born 16 July 1888 and died 27 September 1934 in Nacogdoches County, Texas and is buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Nacogdoches, Texas.

1. Forrest Elam King, born 22 September 1910 in Nacogdoches County, Texas; died 7 March 1975 and is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in Nacogdoches, Texas.  He married Sarah McLeroy of Timpson, Texas.

            JACK ANDERSON KING, was born 4 March 1845 in Nacogdoches County, Texas.  He died 12 (19?) August 1925 in Nacogdoches County, Texas and is buried in the Old North Church Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

            Jack served in the Confederate States Army, enlisting 21 August 1861 in Company H., Alex Work's Company Terry's Texas Ranger.  He was wounded in the Battle of Shiloh, and furloughed.  He received Confederate Pension # 18174 and Confederate Mortuary Warrant #9062.

            He married 1st. _______.

            His second marriage was to Belle Zora Page on 20 October 1880 in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

            Belle Zora Page, was born 10 February 1862 and died 15 December 1950, and she is buried in the Old North Church Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas.  She received Confederate Pension # 118598

            WILLIAM D. KING, son of ______ and Nancy King, was born ca. 1839 in Mississippi. 

            He married Mary C. Ferrell on 25 March 1865 in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

            In the 1867 Voters Registration of Nacogdoches County, Texas he stated he had been in the County for 15 years, placing his arrival in Texas as 1835.

            William served in the Confederate States Army in Company k., Texas Volunteer Infantry.  He is also listed in the 1870 Muster Roll of Nacogdoches County, Texas.

            He is listed in the 1850 Census as seen below and can also be found in the 1860, and 1870 Census of Nacogdoches County, Texas.

            MOLLIE IRENE KING, daughter of Ann Oats and Allen D. King, was born 12 March 1872 in Shelby County, Texas.

            She married John William Strode on 18 December 1890 in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

            John William Strode, son of Elizabeth Clarkson and James William Strode, was born 19 November 1859 in Nacogdoches County, Texas and died 10 February 1910 in Nacogdoches County, Texas and is buried in the Bethel Cemetery in Appleby, Nacogdoches County, Texas. 

            He was known as a Singer and a Musician, with a fine singing voice and a marvelous fiddle player.  He was also known as the "Cowboy Preacher".

1. Ivy Lou Strode, born 15 December 1891 in Appleby, Nacogdoches County, Texas; married 21 December 1912 in Ft. Bend County, Texas to John August Rusche. She had been teaching in Ft. Bend County when she met Mr. Rusche.  He was born 17 September 1884 and died 7 April 1963.

3. Zella Dell Strode, born 13 December 1895 in Nacogdoches County, Texas; died 17 March 1933; married Bennett Blake.

 

4. Alma Mae Strode, born 22 September 1897 in Nacogdoches County, Texas; married Gaylon Wendell Troutnam on 2 October 1920.

 

5.  Charles Wilmeth "Buck" Strode, born 1 October 1900 in Nacogdoches County, Texas; married Alma Muckleroy.

 

6.  James Allen "Jim" Strode, born 1 August 1903 in Nacogdoches County, Texas; died at age 26 in an Auto accident.  He never             married.

            She married 21 December 1912 in Ft. Bend County, Texas to John August Rusche. She had been teaching in Ft. Bend County when she met Mr. Rusche. 

            John August Rusche was born 17 September 1884 and died 7 April 1963.

            EDNA F. KING, was born ca. 1839 in Tennessee and died before March 1875 in Nacogdoches County, Texas.  She married 10 November 1859 in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

            David Lee, son of John Lee, was born 3 May 1828 in Alabama and died 16 August 1916 in Nacogdoches County, Texas.  Buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Nacogdoches, Texas.

            David served in the Confederate States Army in 4th Texas Cavalry; and, he is listed on the 1870 Muster Roll of Nacogdoches County, Texas. 

            He was a Carpenter and a Wagon Maker.  He is found in the 1857, 1861 and 1862 Tax Lists of Nacogdoches County, Texas.
