"This is a one-of-a-kind fishing tackle collectible. It is an antique Fin Nor big game series reel that was made to order by Fin Nor in the late 1930's or early 1940's (or so says the folks at Fin Nor). It is matched with a split bamboo and spruce(?) rod manufactured by Tycoon Rod in Hialeah, Florida for the Fin Nor. All rod and reel hardware is original and include the line guides, rod seats, Cherry wood rod butt, and chrome butt tip. The reel and hardware is in original condition and has not be refurbished or rechromed. The rod was completely refinished by Tycoon Rods in about 1985, and with the butt handle, measures roughly 6 1/2 foot tall. This is the same outfit that Ernest Hemingway would have used to fish for marlin and tuna from the Pilar"
