HOW TO HELP A FRIEND
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE is the effort to dominate or control an intimate partner through repeated systematic abuse. Abusers use physical, sexual, economic, emotional, and psychological abuse. It affects people in all social, economic, racial, religious, and ethnic groups---whether they are married, divorced, living together, dating, or in a gay or lesbian relationship. Although anyone can be a victim of domestic violence, women are by far the most common victims.
