FERRETS

On these pages, I offer Ferret Pockets, a wonderful idea that I got from my two pet ferrets, Piper and Boo Boo. We now have a new guest ferty, Natasha, who is staying with us for awhile.

Well, Tasha has turned into one of four ferty rescues, the other three are Namu, Evie, and Gizmo.

Six ferties take alot of care, and I am quite lucky that there have been no accidents requiring vet care.

Gizzie did have a problem when we got him, he has runny green poopies, and was not eating much at all. Imagine my surprize when my hubby was holding him one afternoon and the little creep BIT ME!

It did not take me long to realize that I was making supper, deboning a chicken and Gizzie just thought my thumb was a tasty hunk of chicken meat!

After several meals of my homemade chicken and noodles (also homemade) Gizzie was back on his regular food and his poopie was normal.

Gizzie has since gained back his weight and is now the biggest ferty of them all.

I read all I could on the web about ferrets, their care and needed supplies.

Piper was the first, and he was so big that he barely fit thru the ferret tubes, and would pull them down when going to different levels in his cage.

The ferret sleeping bags that I could find locally were simply too small!

The ones I found on the net were pretty much the same ones at the pet store, or listed no dimensions, and the shipping was really outrageous!

I do feel that I am offering a needed service to our ferretty friends, a well made product, at a good price and reasonable shipping prices.

We do accept PayPal, but the shipping will reflect the PayPal fees. We also take personal checks and money orders, you save the Pay Pal fees, but it takes a bit longer for the mail to get it to me and the check to clear the bank.

BETTAS

I have had a love affair with Betta's for over 30 years, and I am now rearing my first brood.

They are pretty much 'mutt Betta's' as the stock came from who knows where, but I plan on breeding for certain colors and fin shape.

I, personally, do not like the split tails, but that is my opinion.

What I do like is the crown tails, and the opaque colors. The golden color is another thing that I favor, so these are what I am striving for. I also hope to get into purple Betta's and the longest tails ever.
