2005 April 10, 2005 Unbelievable, it's been two years. And a lot has happened! Doesn't it always?? In a nutshell...okay, a very LARGE nutshell...Wayne and I moved out of the apartment in Roseville, moved IN with Mom for a little on site care and supervision (us...supervising HER for a change!) Spent 18 months doing that. Knew we had to move out - or risk matricide (and yes, I am being a little melodramatic, but that's how it felt at times!) Wound up being offered a job as Property Manager of the Public Storage where we rent a 15x15 unit. I accepted, they hired Wayne as the assistant - only gets paid for 6 hours a week so he doesn't jeopardize his disability status. And wonder of wonders...an apartment goes with the title and the job! Wooohoo! We pay for cable and phone. It does have its down side, we're more or less HERE all the time. And when I look out my dining room window I have a lovely view of orange corrugated metal doors. But...it IS 1200 sq feet of privacy. Joe was bragging on his 3 1/2 mile commute to his new job and I pointed out that we commute all of about 3 1/2 FEET. heh. Tomorrow is moving day for Martha and Ruth. They've been living in Loomis and that house has just been eating them alive, financially anyway. A smaller apartment in Roseville has their names on it. I'm renting a trailer for tomorrow and Wayne will mind the 'shop' while I help with the moving. Martha is starting a new career soon. She completed training as a chef at the Culinary Institute, now it's just a matter of finishing an externship and finding permanent work. Bed now I think...it's almost 1am and I don't have the stay up all night stamina that I used to have! HAH!
