Challenge No. 2

Study the design below for 15 seconds.
Then don't look, immediately get a sheet of paper.
Draw the figure as accurate as possible. Allow a minute.
This is a test on your visual memory.

Math Trick

Ask your friend to write down two rows of figures, each containing five digits.
Then you write down the third row of figures.
Ask your friend to put down a fourth, then you write a fifth row.
On a separate sheet of paper, write the answer and put the paper face down.
Now, let your friend add up the numbers and call out the total.
They'll be surprised that you got the answer in just a glance.

Example:
1st Row: 2 5 6 4 2 - Friend
2nd Row: 4 6 4 2 8 - Friend
3rd Row: 5 3 5 7 1 - Y o u*
4th Row: 6 8 6 2 5 - Friend
5th Row: 3 1 3 7 4 - Y o u*
--------------
Answer : 2 2 5 6 4 0 - EASY !

TRICK
When you put down the third row of numbers, make your number total 9,
when added to the number just above it (second row). In the fifth row,
make each number total 9 when added to the number in the fourth row.
Then you can easily figure out the answer. Just subtract 2 from the last digit
of the first line (which is 2 in our example), and place 2 in front of the first number.
BUT, if the first row of numbers ends with 0 or 1. On the third row, you have to put down a number
that give a total of 9 when added to the numbers in the first row.
Then follow the same procedure as usual with the fourth and fifth rows.
Figure the total by using the second line - subtracting 2 from the last number,
Placing 2 in front of the first number.

1st Row : 2 5 8 3 0
2nd Row : 4 6 7 2 5
3rd Row : 7 4 1 6 9
4th Row : 3 7 4 8 1
5th Row : 6 2 5 1 8
-----------------------
Answer:2 4 6 7 2 3

Another Math Trick

Ask someone to choose any number between 1 to 10.
Then tell them to add 8 to it in their head (secret),
Multiply it by 2, divide it by 4 and subtract half of the original number.
"The Answer is 4"
Isn't it fun?

Puzzle ' 99

2. Multiply this number by 2
3. Add 5, then multiply it by 50
4. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1749. If you haven't, add 1748.
5. Subtract the four digit year that you were born.

The second two digits are your age!!!
This is the only year (1999) it will ever work.
