Day 1 - A quick update.... we've been chillin' in Daytona today - Beach Boy did some boogie boarding last night (see photo). It's SeaWorld tomorrow, then Disney, etc. Day 2 - Busy day at Daytona - gators, golf and more surfing. We'll do SeaWorld in Orlando tomorrow. Photo is Alex at the fishing pier in Port Orange. Day 3 - Photo is of Julie and Alex feeding sting rays at SeaWorld today. Those guys slurped the fish from our fingers like Hoover vacuum cleaners. We had a busy day with my cousin Rob and his wife. Alex rode his first roller coaster and is psyched for many more. He was especially thrilled with the killer whale show, and drew a picture of his experience tonight. Checked in at Disney tonight. We're staying in the All Star Movie resort. Another big day tomorrow. Please stay tuned. Day 4 - A coolish and windy day kept us out of the water stuff. It's still short shirtsleeve weather down here, though. Photo is of my lifting Alex to watch a parade. We're having fun, but Alex is having a major blast (and isn't that what it's all about?)

Day 5 - We visited Disney's Animal Kingdom today. It was a beautiful 70 degree day which made the park's green tropical lushness refreshing. Photo is of Alex getting with the African spirit of the park. He has been game for everything ranging from fresh oysters to the scariest roller coasters. After a 13 hour day of buzzing through activities today, we may just lounge by the pool and visit the splash park tomorrow. We're pooped. Day 6 - It was the Blizzard Beach Disney water park this 80 degree day. Mr. Action got plenty of thrills and spills, and at the end of the day, he washed the experience down with a Coke float at the House of Blues restaurant. The whole family is on my sleep schedule - midnight bedtimes ;-) Day 7 - We slept very late today and got started to Epcot around 10:30AM. We stuck to Futureworld and avoided the crowded "World Showcase" half of the park. Alex got to play neat interactive videogames, and that was important. We hauled over to the MGM park again to persuade Mom to do the "Twilight Zone Tower of Terror" elevator ride. She had a blast - and did it twice. We ate dinner at the very campy Sci-Fi Drive-in Theater. All of the tables are mockups of 1950's cars. Alex was captivated by B-horror-movie clips. The waiter kindly took the photo. Day 8 - Phew - I think we've finally had our fill. The Magic Kingdom park was mobbed today (witness the guy walking up on Julie and Alex in the photo). I knew it was over for me when we had to swim through the sea of parents and cranky toddlers in the kiddie section of the park, "Fantasyland." We quit mid-afternoon to go to the MGM park. There we had dinner at the (faux, but fine dining) Brown Derby restaurant and enjoyed a nighttime music, water, laser, fire, fireworks extravaganza called "Fantasmic!" Saturday, our final full day here, will be a "lay low" day - no parks - just lounging by the pool and maybe meeting some of my cousins for dinner. I think I'm finally missing our cat.
