SAMUEL Marsh born 1626 Essex Co., England.  Settled 
in New Haven, Conn. 1645. Married there in 1647 to 
COMFORT Nottingham (or Mann?).  Took oath of fidelity
2 May 1648.  Removed to Elizabethtown, NJ in 1665 and
died there Sept. 1683.

Clark. John died 1744 in Tremblys Point, NJ.

MARY CORDELIA GREGORY* b. 15 Aug. 1829, dau. of Wm. 
and Mary Ann (Ketcham) Gregory. At the age of 16 
Benjamin embarked upon a seafaring career, sailing 
for 30 years on packet ships mostly between NY and 
Havre. From 1849 to 1857 he was Master of ship 
"Helvetia". In Mar 1856 he rescued the officers
and crew of the French ship "Ardent" that was sinking during a heavy gale. He was awarded the French gold 
Medal of Honor by Emperor Napoleon III.  In 1874 he 
entered the produce business until 1902.  During his 
later years he spent summers in Amityville, NY and 
the winter near Miami, FL where he had orange groves
and where he died 28 Nov. 1907.

1894 married MARY AUGUSTA KETCHAM**born 1863 d.1939. Wm. was in the produce business in NY city and later owned orange groves near Miami. They had a summer home in Amityville, NY. where Wm. died 30 Jun 1927.

   i. GLADYS D. MARSH born 24 Apr. 1895 married on 15
Sept. 1928 to JAMES GILFILLAN THOMPSON Sr. born 
24 Dec. 1868, president of First Nat'l. Bank of 
Middleburg, PA. After his death 2 Feb. 1942 Gladys 
moved to Selinsgrove, PA where she died 21 Sept. 
1982.

   i.  MARJORIE Marsh Thompson - b.1929.  On 27 May 1950 married James K. Burns b.17 Apr. 1922, d. 7 Nov. 2003.
