Baby Jane Workshop with Brenda Papadakis


Friday: Meet Jane A. Blakely Stickle and her 1863 Civil War Quilt. Make several of the 4 1/2 inch blocks from her quilt, using quick cut and applique' techniques by hand or machine.


Saturday: The Ultimate Stickle Challange make those exquisite ice cream cone border triangles and the four corners. You'll receive instructions in piecing and applique' to make them accurately and beautifully.


Cost: $25.00 oer day for Guild Members and $35.00 for Non-Guild Members


Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day


Place: Fantasy Playhouse


The supply list is simple. Basic Sewing supplies, sewing machine, freezer paper, your favorite foundation for paper piecing, cutting mat and rulers (6 X 6 Omnigrid is recommended), an assortment of 10 to 12 quarter yard pieces of 100% cotton fabrics, including lights, mediums and darks. Add some stripes, plaids and background fabrics to create interest with whatever you have chosen to make your Baby Jane. You might choose Amish, 30's, repro's, or even batiks. Each Baby Jane block can be made with about 8 square inches of fabric.
