How would you like to step back in time and pretend you were a quilter in the 1850's???
Share your love for Quilting with the Public?
Spend a couple of hours quilting with friends on a beautiful Fall day?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then WE WANT YOU!!! Mark your calendar for November 5th and 6th. Burritt Museum is having their Fall Sorghum and Harvest Festival. The purpose of the Festival is to demonstrate Crafts and Skills found in the Tennessee Valley area in 1850 and 1900.
Our Guild has been invited to demonstrate Quilting. We need volunteers to come and quilt on Friday and Saturday for 2 hour shifts. Friday from 9:00 to 2:00 is the School Program day and you will be quilting while the Valley Children watch and learn. On Saturday, the Festival is open to the Public from 10:00 until4:00. This is a wonderful opportunity to share a great hobby and skill with others as well as take time out to work on your own hand quilting projects.
(A "cheater's cloth" quilt will be set up for you to practise or you may take your own projects.)
A Sign-up sheet will be available at the October Guild meeting. If you would like to volunteer before them feel free to email or call Annie any time.
We look forward to a good turn-out for the Guild. Thank you in advance, for your support!
Another Great event is planned for Members!
