Our website is about our camp for deaf and hearing impaired children. It is held at the Aldersgate Camp and Retreat Center in Irvine, KY, located near Richmond. The facility is situated in the beautiful mountains of the Daniel Boone National Forest. The camp is held in June each year. The date for this years camp will be released soon and as soon as it is, we will update this information. We divide the camp into two groups based on age and grade. Monday through Wednesday is reserved for 3rd through 6th grades. Thursday through Saturday is reserved for 7th through 12th grades. This year, 1999, will be our third annual camp. We work hard to include both hearing and deaf persons as counselors, and American Sign Language is used in all activities.
We have been very fortunate in that we have raised scholarship money for all campers during the past two years up to the present. Every camper has come to the camp FREE!!!
