VETERINARY CARE RELEASE
I give permission for the veterinarian on call to treat my child’s
horse
in an emergency. I will assume financial responsibility for said
care and
will pay or make arrangements for payment to the veterinarian before
the close of camp. I understand an attempt will be made to reach
me
before a veterinarian is called.

SCHEDULE FOR JUNIOR CAMP
SUNDAY JUNE 13, 1999: Campers check in with horses 5:00pm to
8:00pm. Please bring 2-3 dozen cookies or fruit .
MON, TUES, WED JUNE 14, 15, 16: Classes and instruction.
THURSDAY JUNE 17: Schooling show. Campers will go home after
show
by 4:00pm.
Things You Should Know About Camp. . .
? A borrowed horse may be used ONLY with the proper permission
forms from the owner.
? You MUST have a current (within 6 months) E.I.A. certificate.
? No grain can be kept in the stalls.
? Horses must be stalled from 9:00pm to 7:00am.
? Campers can either sleep with a counselor in a stall or go home at
night. YOU CANNOT STAY IN A CAMPER ON THE GROUNDS WITH
YOUR PARENT!
? Parents must volunteer 8 hours or pay an extra $40.
? Price of camp includes the T-shirt, stall fees, 3 meals a day,
instruction, and show fee.
? Rules are set by the AK State Fair and the 4-H horse camp.
? Committees will be posted and must be followed at all times.
? You can make payments for camp if you cannot pay all at once.

? ASTM/SEI approved helmet. (Some are available for loan).
? Warm clothing.
? Rain gear.
? Riding boots with heel. (No riding tennis shoes).
? Sleeping bag and pillow.
? Tack/Bit.
? Horse feed.
? Water buckets.
? Grooming supplies.
? Personal items (toothbrush, etc.).
? Bug dope.

CAMPER’S FAMILY MUST SIGN UP TO HELP AT CAMP FOR A MINIMUM OF
8 HOURS. IF IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU TO HELP AT CAMP, ADD $40
PER FAMILY TO YOUR TOTAL CAMP FEES TO PAY SOMEONE TO REPLACE
YOU. PLEASE USE THIS VOLUNTEER FORM TO SIGN UP FOR THE JOBS
FOR WHICH YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE. THE SUCCESS OF CAMP
DEPENDS HEAVILY ON THE VOLUNTEERS. YOU SHOULD REPORT TO THE

RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING FRANCE EQUESTRIAN CENTER
1. No horses will be left unattended while on the Fairgrounds.
2. No feed of any kind shall be left in the barn area.
3. All horses must be stabled in barn stalls unless all stalls
are full;
then horses may be kept in trailers or portable pens in the parking
area.
4. Stallion stalls shall be used for stallion or geldings.
Stallions shall
have first priority.
5. No mares shall be stabled next to the stallion stalls, either
to the
side or behind.
6. One horse per stall. {Mare and foal acceptable.
No other exception.}
7. No horses shall be turned loose in the barn area, parking
area, or
arenas at any time.
8. No dogs shall be allowed to run loose on the Fairgrounds.
Dogs must
be confined to a closed unit, have a current rabies certificate, and
be
exercised after hours in designated areas.
9. No horses shall be tied to fences, stall doors, or arena rails
at any
time.
10. No motorized vehicles or bicycles shall be allowed in barn
areas.
11. No camping shall be allowed in barn areas.
12. If owner/handler cannot control a horse, it must be removed
from
the fairgrounds.
13. Only organized groups who have made prior arrangements with
the
Director of France Equestrian Center will be allowed to school or train
their horses on non-show weekdays. Arrangements and resulting
activities must take place during business hours.
14. Jumping requires a medic be present and an approved helmet
be
worn during schooling and classes.
15. No smoking in barn areas at any time.
16. No horses on blacktop walkway at any time (hoof cleaning
and class
preparation included).
These rules and regulations may be amended from time to time.
When
this occurs, any changes will be sent to all participating horse show
groups registered with France Equestrian Center Director.
