He Only Takes The Best
God saw she was getting tired,
And a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around her,
and whispered "come with me."
With tear-filled eyes we watched her,
Suffer and Fade away.
Although we loved her deeply,
We could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hardworking hands put to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He Only Takes The Best |
Our Mother
Six years
have come and gone.
But in our hearts, our Mother lives on.
Sometimes we wonder what she would say.
If only she could be here today.
Can she hear us? Can she see us?
Does she call us each by name?
Does she know how much we miss her?
And that our lifes are not the same.
Does she touch our souls while we're asleep?
Does she know that for her, we still cry and we still weep?
So many things we did not get to say.
Before she left us that dreadful day.
But in our hearts we always pray.
That all those things, We will one day get to say.
So as we travel these earthly miles,
In our hearts we will see her smile.
And never again shall we be alone.
For one day soon she will welcome us home |
