Then comes the real world,
The hustle, the drain,
And the looks and the gestures,
Have sometimes caused pain,
We go on together,
Striving to share,
And sometimes forget
To show that we care,
The children came in
And grew up so fast,
I sit back and wonder,
Why those day's couldn't last,
It's strange to think,
That I may have missed,
That one special moment,
Could have been sealed with a kiss,
Do we really know,
If they take it all in,
Or have I been selfish,
Now and again,
I look back and smile,
At all phases past,
And wish I could turn back
And make those days last,
So listen and learn,
Enjoy these time's,
And rememeber their eyes,
Watch how they shine,
For it goes by so quickly,
But the memories remain.
My Children have proved,
That with love, you can gain,
I've loved being a Parent,
Kids right at my side,
Just wanted to share with you,
They are my Pride my joy,
As they stay right at my side.
