I look at the mirror and see a portrait,
a girl is staring right back at me.
Staring, but not knowing,
when this ugly plastic will be removed.
This plastic piece, consuming her upper torso,
is now just in her way.
Keeping her from doing the things she likes best,
those things she used to
always do.
I look back at myself and see that same girl,
the one that was in the portrait.
Feeling the same feelings,
looking at that same plastic brace.
Then I wonder,
why do I have to wear this?
Knowing the real reason,
just isn't enough anymore.
One more question, I ask myself,
why me and why now?
There comes no answer,
no one will ever answer.
