Basics of Beliefs

CHRIST'S DEATH ON THE CROSS AND HIS RESURRECTION

1Corinthians 15:3-4 "For I delivered to you first of all that which I also recieved: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures."

T..total depravity of man

U..unconditional election

L..limited atonement

I..irresistible grace

P..preservation and the perseverance of believers

T in tulip stands for the fact that man is born in sin thus
is sinful in all his ways, intellect, will and affections. He is dead
in sin. Gen 8:21 "Every inclination of his heart is evil from
childhood." Eph. 2:1 "You were dead in your transgressions and sins."
U stands for the unconditional election of man by God. Not all
who are born are of the Elect. John 15:16 "You did not chose Me, but
I choose you and appointed you that you should go and bear
fruit" Acts 13:48 "And all who were appointed for eternal life
believed"
L is for limited atonement. It states in the Bible many times
that Christ came for HIS sheep. Matt. 1:21 "You are to give him the
name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.
Romans 8:30 "Those He predestined, He also called: those He called,
He also justified, and whom He justified, these He also glorified."
I is for the irresistible grace of The Holy spirit. What this
means is that when the Holy Spirit comes to make a person a new
creature, that person is unable to resist or prevent the work of
the Spirit. Christ promises in John 6:37 "all that the Father
gives me will come to me."
P is the preservation and perseverance of Believers. Once the
Spirit has you, you will not fall from faith and be kept by God.
That does not mean you will not fall into sin, just that you will
not fall from Grace. John 10:28 "I give them eternal life, and
they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hand."

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

1. "You shall have no other gods before Me."

2. "You shall not make for yourself a carved image-any likeness of anything that is in heaven above,

......or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;you shall not bow down

......to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity

......of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me."

3. "You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless

......who takes His name in vain."

4. "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the

......seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son,

......nor you daughter, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.

......For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the

......seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it."

5. "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land, which the Lord your God

......is giving you."

6. "You shall not murder."

7. "You shall not commit adultery."

8. "You shall not steal."

9. "You shall not bear false witness against you neighbor."

10. "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant

......nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's"
